Chauntelle Ingenito was called to the Bar in 2021, having been a solicitor since 2016. Prior to coming to the Bar, she practiced largely in the areas of family law, criminal law and dispute resolution.

Since coming to the Bar, Chauntelle has predominantly appeared in family law, in complex parenting and property matters on behalf of parents, grandparents, other family members and Independent Children’s Lawyers.

She also appears in domestic violence, criminal and traffic matters, commercial dispute resolution and estate litigation, and has a keen interest in family provision cases.

Chauntelle appears both at first instance and on appeal, and is on the Legal Aid NSW summary and indictable criminal law panels.

Chauntelle routinely delivers continuing legal and community family law education through podcasts, webinars and workshops. She is a co-host of Family Law 101, an education platform which hosts workshops and webinars, with appearances including from retired Judges and other legal practitioners, for self-represented litigants in the family law, where the funds from paid workshops is donated to children’s charities, including the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Chauntelle advocates for the advancement of women in law, flexibility in practice, and the journey for Women at the Bar.

Chauntelle was awarded the Lawyers Weekly “30 under 30 2022” Winner for Barrister of the Year. She was named as a finalist for Barrister of the Year in Lawyers Weekly “Women in Law Awards 2022”, and is named as a finalist for Barrister of the Year in Lawyers Weekly’s “30 under 30 2023”.
