Paris was called to the Bar in 2016. Prior to coming to the Bar, she practised largely in the areas of commercial law, tenancy law, public and administrative law.
At the NSW Bar, Paris has an extensive experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in the areas of administrative law, building & constructions law, criminal law, commercial law and defamation law. Paris has appeared in a range of Courts and Tribunals, including the NSW Court of Appeal, NSW Court of Criminal Appeal, NSW Supreme Court, and the NSW District and Local Courts, New South Wales Land & Environment Court, AAT, NCAT and the Federal Court.
Paris is on the Commonwealth DPP External Junior Counsel Panel and has appeared as Junior Counsel for the Crown on complex prosecution matters. She is also on the Legal Aid NSW summary and indictable criminal law panels. Paris has written articles on legal topics which have been published in the Australian Bar Review, the Bar News Journal, Gazette law and Journalism, Law Society Journal and often appears on Benchmark’s BenchTV to discuss important legal issues and recent cases.
She has given CPD seminars on practice and procedure, evidence law and defamation law at Legalwise Seminars and City of Sydney Law Society.
Paris is also a sessional Lecturer teaching Evidence Law and Administrative Law at the University of Notre Dame.
