Monique was called to the NSW Bar in 2024.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Monique was admitted as a legal practitioner in 2015 and worked as a solicitor practising primarily in Family Law, Care & Protection and Criminal Law.

As well as acting for individual parties, Monique has acted as Independent Children’s Lawyer, Independent and Direct Legal Representative in the Children’s Court and Separate Representative before NCAT.

As a Barrister, Monique has a continually expanding practice, appearing increasingly in Family Provision and Wills & Estates matters in addition to her other areas of expertise.

Monique holds a Bachelor of Laws/Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Newcastle and Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University.

Whilst at university, Monique won the Lexis Nexis prize in the Diploma of Legal Practice.

As a member of the LGBTIQ community, Monique has a passion for assisting members of the community in addressing the unique challenges they face.

Monique continues to be sought after for her empathetic and sensible approach to the law and the conduct of litigation.
